Zarif in Romania on 1st leg of Eastern Europe tour

Bucharest, Nov 9, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif arrived in the Romanian capital late on Tuesday on the first leg of his three-nation tour to the Eastern Europe. Zarif in Romania on 1st leg of Eastern Europe tour Zarif arrived in the Romanian capital from Beirut, Lebanon where he held separate talks with senior officials of the country on the issues of mutual interests. He started his visit on Monday (Nov 7) heading a high-ranking economic and political delegation. While in Bucharest, Zarif is slated to hold talks with his Romanian counterpart as well as the country's president, prime minister and president of the Chamber of Deputies. He is also to attend a trade meeting and a conference on the fight against terrorism and extremism. The Iranian foreign minister would also travel to Slovakia and the Czech Republic on the second and third lag of his tour to Eastern Europe respectively. 1378/IRNA
