Zarif Terms Iran-US Presidents Phone Conversation As Positive, Respectful

Tehran, Sept 30, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said on Sunday that telephone conversation between Iranian and US presidents was positive and respectful, and God-willing will be a good start for a very hard work. Zarif wrote in his Facebook that Americans had contacted five to six times prior to the conversation to arrange the phone call as it took place on the last day stay of President Hassan Rohani in New York. “When I managed the Non-Aligned Movement session, Americans contacted five to six times to arrange the phone dialogue and eventually the talks took place on the occasion of Rohani’s leaving the hotel.” He said that he wondered why certain people in Tehran made uncultivated move, questioning the trip and the conversation, which has become a thorn in the eye of the ill-wishers of Iran, Islam and Revolution. “Iranian and US presidents had in the phone call underlined the determination to solve nuclear issue in shortest timeline on which US State Secretary John Kerry and me agreed.” /end
