Zionists suppose they can entangle Iran into quarrels: Veep

Tehran, Dec 10, IRNA – Zionists and some unwise countries in the region suppose they can entangle Iran into quarrels, First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Saturday. Speaking to a gathering of Iranian traders here, he noted that the UK Prime Minister Theresa May is invited to one of the Persian Gulf littoral states to give an anti-Iranian lecture and said these countries are humiliating themselves by such actions. Iran's stability and security have roots in its great history and nation so nobody is able to ignore sources of Iran's power by expressing such remarks, Jahangiri added. He said that Zionists and some unwise countries of the region suppose they can entangle Iran into quarrels with regional states by force but they should know that Iran would continue the policy of good engagement with the world. Referring to the rise of war-mongering officials in the US and Europe, Jahangiri said that Iran should be cautious about its security and be vigilant enough not to walk in to the enemies' traps. Enemies are surprised about sustainable peace in Iran despite the spread of Daesh (ISIS) terrorist in the region, he added. According to the media, the UK premier said at the annual summit of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council in the Bahraini capital of Manama that Britain would help the PGCC states “push back” against what she claimed to be Iran’s “aggressive regional actions.” 1378/IRNA
