4th Congress of Gulf Neurosurgical Society Kicks Off in Doha

Doha, November 28 (QNA) - The 4th Congress of Gulf Neurosurgical Society began its activities in Doha on Thursday with more than 300 specialized experts from Qatar, the region and the world attending. During the three-day conference, organised by Hamad medical corporation (HMC) and being held under the patronage of HE Abdullah Bin Khalid Al Qahtani, the Minister of Public Health who is also the Secretary General of the Supreme Council Of Health (SCH) ,will discuss the state of the art updates in brain and Neurosurgical , the exchange of knowhow and scientific experiences between the physicians specialized in this complicated branch of surgery and efforts exerted to make of Qatar an outstanding center in this domain. Prolonged Bradycardia in High Spinal Cord Injured Patients, brain tumors, Microsurgery of the Brain Tumors in the Eloquent Areas, Complications Avoidance in Endoscopic Transphenoidal Surgery and Frontolateral Approach for Anterior Cranial Fossa, Sellar and Parasellar tumors; Advantages and Technical Aspects, Epidemiological Data of Tumours of the Central Nervous System and other topics will also be taken up during the conference. In an address before the opening session, Mohamed Al-Nauimi, the head of the communication and chief of staff of the office of the HMC's director general highlighted the importance of such a congress which combines local, regional and world expertise in brain and Neurosurgical sciences. 'Such a conference would focus on new topics in brain and nerves sphere and requires the exchange of expertise and knowhow on the updates in the field, and this the matter which HMC accords much attention", Al Nuaimi noted.
