Anti-cancer medicine produced in Iran

Tehran, Nov 14, IRNA – Iranian researchers are now capable of producing 'carboplatin' which is an anti-cancer drug. The price of 'carboplatin', produced in Iran is one third of its foreign kind. Director of the research project on producing 'carboplatin', a chemotherapy drug, said that the aim of implementation of that project was to achieve the technical knowledge of the medicine and decrease the expense of chemotherapy for the patients who suffer from cancer. Dr Mahboubeh Eslami Moqaddam said that she and her team have worked on the project over a year. 1378/IRNA
