Azerbaijan National Oncology Center, Belgian Orfit Industries sign cooperation agreement

Baku, January 19, AzerTAc The National Oncology Center of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Health has inked an agreement on cooperation with Belgian Orfit Industries company. Orfit Industries a world leader in the development and production of medical devices that offer solutions for immobilizing or mobilizing patients in three application fields in healthcare: Thermoplastic splinting materials for Physical Rehabilitation; Patient positioning and immobilization systems in Radiation Oncology; and Thermoplastic sheet materials for Orthotics and Prosthetics. The agreement awards the National Oncology Center with the status of an international training and testing center. Speaking to the signing ceremony, Orfit Industries CEO Steven Cuypers said the status of an international training and testing center is given to clinics that possess the advanced technologies and highly qualified staff having extensive experience in examination and treatment of patients. Director of the National Oncology Center, academician Jamil Aliyev said the quality medical service at the center was improved to modern international standards in a short period of time thanks to President Ilham Aliyev’s successful of social policy.
