Azerbaijan`s daily COVID-19 recoveries more than infections

Baku, August 17, AZERTAC Azerbaijan on Monday continued its positive trend of more people recovering from coronavirus daily than catching it. The Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers said 167 more people recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the tally to 32,042, while another 124 people contracted the virus, bringing the total count of infections thus far to 34,343. The country's death toll from the disease rose to 508, with 2 new fatalities reported over the last 24 hours. As many as 5,153 tests were conducted over the last 24 hours, raising the total number of tests to 836,908, the Task Force added.
