HMC to Host Qatar Orthopedics Foot and Ankle Symposium

Doha, November 13 (QNA) - Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will host the first Qatar Orthopedics Foot and Ankle Symposium which will be held from 23-24 November 2013. According to the press release of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), issued here on Wednesday, the symposium supports the Corporation's efforts to facilitate first-class medical education opportunities and its intent to become a regional hub for advanced orthopedic care. Approximately 250 healthcare professionals from across the region will gather in Doha. The orthopedic surgery department in line with Hamad General Hospital will be organizing this distinguished two days event that will include plenary lectures, hands on workshop, interactive session and free paper session. Dr. Mohamed Al Ateeq Al Dosari, Head of Orthopedic Surgery and Director of the Bone and Joint Institute at HMC, explained that the symposium ensures the commitment of developing educational opportunities to benefit all those in the medical profession who extend their care into the foot, ankle and lower leg structures arena. It is one of the ultimate goals of the department to provide educational opportunities via conferences and workshops to help expand the knowledge base and update on foot and ankle surgery and technical skills of all involved.
