Iran’s NAM Presidency To Give Impetus To NANO Science Generation

Kashan, Isfahan Prov., Sept 9, IRNA – Head of the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Institute Mohammad-Hossein Majlesara says Iran’s presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) would provide the members with an opportunity to make progress in the field of NANO sciences. “Establishment of the NAM Secretariat in Iran for a period of three years would provide the members with an opportunity for exchange of scientific findings,” said Majlesara in an address to the inaugural ceremony of the Fourth International NANO Congress. He said Iran ranks 9th worldwide in terms of generation of NANO science and technology. In the contemporary era, NANO science and technology is of high importance and is in the focal point of competitions to the extent that about half of NANO science generation and technology takes place in the Asian states. He went on to say that during years of endeavors in the field of science, Islamic Republic of Iran has paid hefty cost, including sacrificing its children, for the sake of science and technology, making great achievements.
