Iran to examine capabilities for health tourism

TEHRAN, Jan. 12 (MNA) – Tourism deputy of ICHTO said regarding health tourism, Health Ministry and Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization will create a set of principles and will accredit different medical centers to decide upon their capabilities in receiving health tourists. Morteza Rahmani Movahed announced that the process and results of accreditation and evaluation will be shown on the website of Health Ministry and it would be clear that which centers could offer services to health tourists; “this would provide a medium for health tourists to express their satisfaction or to complain about their treatment, while letting them know the procedure of treatment.” Tabriz, Rasht, Ardebil, Saari, Gorgan, Yazd and Karaj are among the most active cities to receive health tourists and offer them medical services.
