Official: SMFIRI Stands Worldˈs 6th Major Scientific, Research Center

Tehran, July 17, IRNA -- President of the Sports Medicine Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (SMFIRI), Lotfali Pourkazemi, says his Federation has turned into the 6th major scientific and research center of the world. Talking to IRNA, Pourkazemi said, ˈFrom now on, our responsibility in various research, educational, prevention and treatment fields would be much heavier. I hope that we would be able to reach higher degrees of success and activity in the years to come.ˈ He said that in the past few years, we had more emphasis on research, publication of books and scientific articles both nationally and internationally. ˈAbout 80 valuable research articles were presented by the SMFIRI researchers and specialists. Even two of our research articles were selected in the UNESCO in the years 2011 and 2012 as the best world research articles. In the past few years about 400 scientific and research activities were done in the Federation.ˈ Once the SMFIRI was selected as one of the sixth major scientific, research and treatment centers, Fabio Pigozzi, President of the International Federation of Sports Medicine, and Professor Robert L. Buckles, Vice-President of the International Federation of Sports Medicine, in separate letters lauded the SMFIRI for its success over the past few years, according to Pourkazemi.
