Rahimi: Iran To Be Among Top Four Scientific Powers By 2018

Tehran, Dec 16, IRNA – First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi said on Saturday that the Islamic Republic of Iran would have been among top four scientific powers of the world by 2018. Speaking to reporters, he said the Iranian government spares no efforts to render more services to scientists and researchers who are making efforts to make more scientific progress. Iranian scientists and researchers have attained a very remarkable status in the world and they are expected to conquer peaks of scientific development within the said period, Rahimi said. The 13th festival to honor services of top researchers was held in Tehran on Saturday in presence of the First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi. Minister of Defense and Armed Froces Logistic Brigadier General Ahmadi Vahimi, Minister of Higher Education Kamran Daneshjoo and a group of top researchers and university lecturers were present in the gathering./end
