Russia presents more than 50 inventions at Geneva exhibition

GENEVA, April 3 (Itar-Tass) - Russia is among the most active participants in the Palexpo international exhibition of inventions that opened in Geneva on Wednesday. On display are about a thousand exhibits, most of which are designed to make everyday life more comfortable, and some are understandable only for specialists, but nevertheless interesting to all. Russian scientific institutes, universities and companies have displayed more than 50 inventions practically in all the fields, including medicine, machine building, electronics, new energy sources and ecology. The projects are developed by 300 companies representing 13 Russian regions -- the Altai, Krasnoyarsk and Stavropol territories, Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Ivanovo, Leningrad, Moscow, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Tomsk and Yaroslavl regions. Inventions in Russia are traditionally featured by a high technical level of design and use of advanced scientific developments. The construction company Grantstroi from Stavropol presents a hydrogen turbo generator unit to reduce fuel use by ten times. It is quite a new generator working 90 percent with the use of water and ten percent with the use of hydrocarbons, the company's director general Gamlet Arakelyan told Itar-Tass. The system, he said, many times reduced consumed energy without loss of capacity. The main goal of Grantstroi at the exhibition is to find an investor. Traditionally, Russia shows its capabilities in the field of space technologies. The scientific space instrument-making institute, the basis of the United Rocket and Space Corporation, presents several developments. The exhibition will last five days to April 6. About 60,000 people are expected to visit it. The best 54 inventions will be awarded, including the grand prix. Learn more on itar-tass.com
