SCH praises National Ambulance Service launch

Manama, June 10 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, welcomed the directives of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to launch the National Ambulance Service on the 15th of June and activating the same in 13 centers to cover all governorates by the end of this year to improve the quality of ambulance service provided for citizens and residents. The SCH President today chaired a meeting comprised Interior Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Health Undersecretary Dr. Waleed Al Mani’ and a number of officials responsible for the National Ambulance Service to discussed the necessary arrangements in preparation for the entry of the project into service. The SCH President extended appreciation of the directives of the Interior Ministry General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to the Interior Ministry to take all measures necessary to launch the national ambulance project on time. It was decided to establish a standing committee for medical emergencies and accidents consists of representatives from all concerned parties. In addition, the SCH will issue coordination instructions to all hospitals to coordinate the reception of emergency cases.
