Sheikh Khalifa Medical City inaugurates state-of-the-art interventional radiology equipment

ABU DHABI, 25th February, 2015 (WAM) -- Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, SKMC, has added yet another qualifier to its reputation for superlative healthcare excellence, inaugurating state-of-the-art interventional radiology technology that will introduce both increased treatment speed and safety for its patients while capturing information at a resolution four times greater than conventional x-rays. Inaugurated yesterday by SKMC and SEHA management, the new bi-plane interventional x-ray system offers excellent insight for challenging diagnostic examinations as well as neuro-vascular and peripheral interventions, enabling physicians and other healthcare givers to work faster and more confidently, while providing cutting edge image-guided minimally invasive procedures. SKMC, managed by Cleveland Clinic, is part of the SEHA HealthSystem and owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, SEHA, which is responsible for the curative activities of all the public hospitals and clinics in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
