SPEAKER ADDRESSES ACADEMIC YEARS’ OPENING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament) Z.Enkhbold participated in an opening ceremony of the 2014-2015 academic year at the College of Construction and Techniques on Monday. Addressing students, the Speaker emphasized that the national development cannot be imagined without industries, engineers and skilled technological workforce. “Our country is paying great attention to the education for experts and workers of the technological sector in order to keep boosting its position in the world’s development," he underlined. Then the Speaker legged the college’s plumbing and turnery training rooms and construction vocational department. This college was founded in 1954 at the Technical Institute of Industry. In 1960, it became the Technical College for Construction, adding four branches with 540 students. As of present, the college belongs to the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, running ten primary and five technical professions courses. Since its establishment, the college has prepared some 8,500 technicians with special secondary education and 20 thousand professional construction workers.
