Students awarded Khan Bank’s extended scholarships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Khan Bank Monday announced names of the 20 most promising students granted Khan Bank extended scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year. In the academic year of 2015-2016, a total of 80 high school graduates from 21 aimags of Mongolia, Zamyn-Uud, and Zuunkharaa, as well as the Ulaanbaatar districts of Bagakhangai, Nalaikh and Baganuur were given the Khan Bank Scholarship Program for New Students and received considerable contributions towards the first year college tuition fees. The Khan Bank Extended Scholarship Program was publicly announced among the second, third and fourth year students, who all received Khan Bank Scholarship in previous academic years, and awarded the 20 most promising students in mid of October. The extended scholarship is designed to support the most promising and talented students for their exceptional performance, leadership and engagement in social activities in the previous academic year. The extended scholarship is announced publicly, followed by submission of application forms and supporting materials by eligible students of Mongolian universities. This Scholarship Program involves 100-110 students every year. The Scholarship Program for New Students dedicated to high school graduates and first year students with a three-phase selection process is publicly announced every March. A total of 1,200 new and senior students have received the Khan Bank scholarship since 2007 and the Khan Bank Foundation has been making consistent investments to support and encourage the future skilled labor force.
