Tehran To Host Intˈl Microbiology Congress

Tehran, Aug 13, IRNA -- The 15th Iranˈs International Congress on Microbiology will be held concurrently with the First Symposium on Nanomicrobiology at Iran Medical University from August 26 to 28. Medical microbiology, entrepreneurship and new areas in microbiology, veterinary microbiology, applied and environmental microbiology, and food microbiology are the main topics of the congress. Experts from Italy, France, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Morocco, Turkey, Iraq and Bangladesh will participate in the event, which will be organized by the Iranian Society of Microbiology (ISM). The congress includes keynote lectures and poster sessions, and offers several workshops on nanomicrobiology and production of recombinant proteins in prokaryotic systems for young beginners in the field. ISM also has a program to publish highly qualified papers in the Iranian Journal of Microbiology (IJM). IJM is indexed in scientific databases such as PubMed, PubMed Central (PMC) and Scopus. Professor Dr. Willem van Leeuwen from University of Applied Science Leiden, the Netherlands, Professor Leonardo A. Sechi from University of Sassari, Italy, Professor Enrico Tortoli from Camerino University, Italy, and Professor Regine Hakenbeck from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, are among invited speakers to the congress. Some 1,700 submissions have been received by the secretariat of the event, from which 1,400 articles will be presented as lectures and posters.
