Thee Elements To Push Malaysia To Be The Best In Healthcare - Minister

PUTRAJAYA, March 31 (Bernama) -- Knowledge, skills and empathy are among the elements that can push Malaysia to be the best country in healthcare globally, said Health Minister Dr S. Subramaniam (two, right). Therefore, he said, staff of the Health Ministry should always continue to provide comprehensive health services, in line with the government's intention to make the sector more dynamic and competitive. "Efforts to improve knowledge in the various fields should be increased. In the present era, knowledge is at the fingertips with the use of smart phone," he said in a speech at the Excellent Service Award 2014 presentations ceremony, here. Meanwhile, Dr Subramaniam said the involvement of all the ministerial staff were needed in the realisation of the planned transformation to provide 'trustable' health services to the people. He said they needed to have a passion to work with integrity, transparency and responsibility. "We must have a passion to work because we are entrusted with great responsibility not to disappoint people's expectation," he said. Dr Subramaniam said the excellent service awards should be made as a catalyst to encourage the staff to give their full attention and effort to improve productivity and quality of their work.
