THREE MORE MONGOLIANS BECOME GRAND MASTERS OF MEMORY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the 22nd World memory championship, three Mongolian mental athletes have become Grand masters. In London, O.Sengesamdan (21), B.Namuuntuul (17) and Ts.Bat-Erdene (15) have been awarded title of Grand master of Memory (GGM). Prior to that, S.Tsogbadrakh and S.Akjol had been granted the title at the 20th World championship in China, two years ago. At the London championship that ran November 30-December 2, our mental team under coaching of Kh.Khatanbaatar, became a third among 32 teams. At the final results, our team was preceded by the German and Sweden teams in the first and second places. First issued in 1995, the title Grand Master of Memory (GMM) is awarded to people who are able to successfully perform the following three memory feats: memorize 1,000 numbers in an hour, memorize 10 decks of cards in an hour and memorize one deck of cards in under two minutes. Z.Tsetsegzul (13) and G.Temuulen (12) also successfully performed two out of three feats above yet to be awarded the title of Grand Master of Memory.
