University of Kurdestan concludes 9 MoUs with foreign counterparts

Sanandaj, Nov 19, IRNA – Chancellor of University of Kurdestan said on Saturday that the higher education center has so far concluded nine memoranda of understanding with foreign universities. Fardin Akhlaqian said at the meeting of the university's presidential board with Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi in Sanandaj that the deals have been made with the European, Japanese and Iraqi Kurdistan universities. 'We have relations with most of Iraqi Kurdistan's universities at the level of exchanging students and instructors which plays a crucial role in scientific development of Iran and Kurdestan,' he said. Currently, 30 foreign students are studying in the University of Kurdestan, Akhlaqian said, noting that 50 others have applied for education in the university.
