Three people diagnosed with swine flu in Astana

Astana, July 24, 2009 (Khabar) - Three students from an Astana college have been diagnosed with Swine Flu AH1N1. Corresponding news has been provided by the Astana State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Department, Zhandarbek Bekshin. Two children are now in the hospital while the third one is receiving treatment at home. Astana doctors had 6 swine flu suspects but only 3 people were diagnosed positive. All of them were in a group of 48 children who were in London for a one-month course of study. The group returned to Astana on the 19th of July. The next day, three students turned to doctors and one day later, so did the other three.

Zhandarbek Bekshin, director, Astana State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Department:
- Specialists from the sanitary and epidemiological supervision diagnosed 3 people with swine flu. Two of them are now in the hospital and they feel better now, thanks to adequate treatment and the use of the anti-virus drug Tamiflu.
