128th IOC Session: Bach Praises Malaysian Hospitality

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach has praised Malaysia for the great hospitality shown as hosts of the 128th IOC Session, which concluded here Monday. In conjunction with the 128th Session from July 31 to Aug 3, Malaysia also hosted the IOC Executive Board meeting from July 28 to 30. Both meetings were held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). "We have a pleasant opportunity to say thank you to our Malaysian hosts and also the organisers. "Our first thanks goes to the volunteers, who were welcoming us every morning, they made the day very pleasant. Among them are the former Olympics athletes," Bach said in his closing remarks of the 128th IOC session. He also congratulated Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) president Tunku Imran Tuanku Jaafar for his dedication in making the IOC Session such a successful event. Bach later presented the IOC President Trophy in appreciation of Malaysia as the hosts for the 128th IOC Session to Tunku Imran. -- BERNAMA
