222 Athletes to Represent Qatar in 18th Asian Games in Indonesia

Doha, August 11 (QNA) - The State of Qatar will participate in the 18the Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, with 222 athletes representing 20 sports federations in 30 events, from August 18 to September 2, as Qatar's largest participation in the Asian Games. HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al -Thani, President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) will head Qatar's delegation. Qatari teams participating in the Asian Games aspire to return home with new achievements. The opening ceremony of the Asian Games will take place on August 18, and the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia will be held on August 19, in the presence of representatives of the National Olympic Committees of Asia.
