30 THOUSAND RUNNERS REGISTERED FOR ULAANBAATAR MARATHON-2018

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ International Marathon ‘Ulaanbaatar Marathon-2018’ will be held on the weekend of May 19, which is concurrently organized with a car-free day. So far, some 30 thousand participants have been registered for the marathon.
The International Marathon is organized among professional and amateur runners. In this year’s race, marathon runner who represented Mongolia at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games and in the World Championships B.Munkhzaya is to takepart in a distance of 42 km and 195 meters. Two time winner and two silver medalist of Ulaanbaatar Marathon in 21 km distance G.Khishigsaikhan will compete in this distance.
In the men’s distance of 42 km and 195 meters, State Honored Athlete B.Ser-Od and marathon runners from Kenya, Ethiopia, Japan and the Republic of Korea will participate at the invitation.
Participants are able to register for the marathon through www.ub-marathon.ub.gov.mn or in person at the Physical Culture and Sports Authority.
Registration will close on May 16.
