4th Chapter of Advanced Sport Management Course Kicks Off

Doha, April 13 (QNA) - The fourth chapter of the Advanced Sport Management Course (ASMC) organized by Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA) under the supervision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) kicked off at the QOA headquarters in Doha. Thirty-three students representing Qatar Olympic Committee from different departments, associations, sports clubs and students from Qatar University along with trainees from GCC nations. The course lecturer is sport economics expert Dr. Nicolas Scelles. The students submitted their papers that have been reviewed in the last three chapters of the diploma. Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs in Qatar Olympic Academy Dr. Ali Al Bakri made the discussions. Dr. Al Bakri said that this chapter will cover the main axes for the financial management in sports institutions and the importance of financial planning and customized budget, how to deal with financial matters in sports institutions and other important topics. Holders of this diploma will have the priority to enroll in the executive master's program in sports management, a program that is offered for regional and continental Olympic committees with the support of the International Olympic Committee through the Olympic Solidarity Council.
