6 Iranian female athletes in Russia’s World Taekwondo Championships

TEHRAN, Apr. 05 (MNA) – Technical staff of Iranian women's taekwondo team released the name of six female athletes to represent Iran in the 2015 WTF World Taekwondo Championships in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Iran women’s national taekwondo team will attend the 2015 WTF World Taekwondo Championships in Chelyabinsk, Russia, in six weight categories. Accordingly, Bahareh Naderkhanloo, Kimia Alizadeh, Sokraneh Izadi, Fatemeh Rouhani, Hanieh Akhlaghi and Akram Khodabandeh are the selected athletes to participate the event in different weight categories of -53kg, -57kg, -62kg, -67kg, -73kg and +73kg, respectively. Regarding the performance of taekwondo athletes in the 42nd international tournament of the Lotto Dutch Open, the coach of national female Taekwondo team of Iran Minoo Maddah said the event had more in common with world competitions, with many Olympians and world champions attending the tournament. “On the whole, I am satisfied with the performance of my players in the Netherlands which was a very good preparation for us,” Maddah highlighted.
