AFC President receives Liverpool Football Club Chief Executive

Manama, April 6 (BNA)-- President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa received Chief Executive of Liverpool Football Club Ian Ayre. He welcomed him in Bahrain, praising the high status of the English club in the international football arena and its amazing achievements at all levels. He pointed out a cooperation agreement signed last year between AFC and the English League, stressing its importance in boosting relations with the English clubs, including mainly Liverpool. The Liverpool Club Chief Executive thanked the AFC President for the good hospitality, praising the Asian football and its development capability. The AFC President presented him with the confederation's Commemorative Shield.
