Air rifle competition kicks off at ISSF World Cup Final in Gabala

Gabala, August 10, AZERTAC The ISSF World Cup Final Stage today features men`s and women`s air rifle competition in Gabala. In the men`s event, Azerbaijan`s squad Ulfan Akhundov, Elvin Aslanov, Mammadali Abdullayev and Rasul Mammadov. In the women`s event, the country`s hopes will be pinned on Nigar Nasirova, Zarifa Gasimova, Khayala Huseyinli, Leyla Mirzazade and Rubaba Eyvazova. Organized by the Gabala Shooting Club and Azerbaijan Shooting Federation in partnership with the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the event brings together nearly 2000 athletes from 100 countries,. Shooters compete in 17 shooting sports, with the tournament providing 34 Olympic berths.
