Air Sports Encouraged in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- Air clubs built in different parts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have paid deep attention to making air sports popular. Pyon Jong Ho, head of the Pyongyang City Air Club, told KCNA: My club has carried on air sports service activities on a broad basis. Training equipment and model gliders in training ground have come under attraction of visitors. The club gives computer-aided service to visitors, which is helpful to flying remote-controlled model glider. Citizens can fly model gliders at the May Day Stadium, Kaeson Youth Park and plaza of the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium. The club has finished preparations for giving parachute service. The club also gives air sports knowledge and technology to citizens through different forms and methods. Meanwhile, the club makes big efforts to put training of professional athletes on a scientific basis. -0-
