Al Gharafa Deny Negotiating with Portuguese Quaresma, Pepe

Doha, June 18 (QNA) - Al Gharafa board denied negotiating with Portuguese Quaresma and Pepe, who currently play for Besiktas, to join the squad in the next season. The board also confirmed that Dutchman Sneijder, Iran's Taremi and Portuguese Amado will stay with the squad. Head of football at Al Gharafa Mahmoud Al Ghazal said that his side didn't make any offers for the Portuguese players. Al Ghazal told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that Al Gharafa don't have any plans to sign new players at the moment, but only the club will sign a defender to replace Venezuela's, Rubert Quijada. He pointed out that Al Gharafa coach Christian Gourcuff is responsible for the technical decisions. Al Gharafa stressed that Gourcuff is one of the top coaches, who led Al Gharafa to many trophies in his first term at the club in 2002 and he plans to repeat these achievements with the club next season.
