Alhaji Kamara To Give More Fire Upfront For M'sia's Johor Southern Tigers

JOHOR BAHARU (Johor, Malaysia), April 3 (Bernama) -- The new addition to Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), Sierra Leone striker Alhaji Kamara (left), is set to strengthen JDT's attack for the upcoming match. Kamara, who will be turning 21 on April 16, is joining JDT on loan from Swedish club IFK Norrkoping, with an option for a new contract to join the Johor Southern Tigers team for the rest of M-League season. Johor Football Association president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim said he has been following Kamara's action for several months before signing him up for JDT. "We have been following him for a couple of months now and based on the statistic so far, we like what we have seen. This player is young and hungry to achieve something (and) that is what the club needs," the Tunku Mahkota of Johor (right) told reporters at the Stadium Tan Sri Hassan Yunos, Larkin, here Friday. He said this during the introduction of Kamara, who arrived here Thursday. "We need more fire upfront and I think it is very important to have a player with his physique and he is ambitious so I think that is the reason why we signed Kamara for JDT," he said. When asked on Kamara's future with JDT, Tunku Ismail said they are ready to take Kamara if he performs well and is happy to stay here. Meanwhile, Kamara said he joined JDT as he was impressed with the facilities here as well as the quality of the team. Eventhough he is here for a loan, Kamara is ready to work hard and contribute to the team's future success.(photoBernama) -- BERNAMA
