Asian Games: Qatar Defeats Japan and Qualifies for Volleyball Semi-Final

Doha, August 29 (QNA) - Qatar qualified on Tuesday for the semi-final of men's volleyball tournament at the 18th Asian Games, held in Indonesia and which will continue until September 2, after beating Japan in the quarter-finals. The Qatari team secured three sets against two (25-18, 26-28, 25-21, 22-25, 24-22) after a strong and exciting match performed by the players of the two teams, and the result was only settled in the fifth set. Qatar will take on Iran in the semi-finals on Thursday, while the second semi-final is scheduled between South Korea and Chinese Taipei. (QNA)
