Asian Men's Handball Qualification for Tokyo 2020 Olympics: Qatar to Take on Bahrain Tomorrow

Doha, October 23 (QNA) - Team Qatar will take on Bahrain tomorrow in the semi-finals of the Asian Men's Handball Qualification Tournament for Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The tournament, which is being held in Doha and ends next Saturday, sees eight teams competing for a single ticket to the Tokyo Games. Qatar finished their group engagements with six points, from three wins over Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and India, to finish on top of Group A, while Bahrain made two wins in Group B at the ongoing Asian Men's Handball Olympic Qualification Tournament. The participating teams were divided into two groups Team Qatar were drawn in Group A alongside Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and India while the second group includes Bahrain, South Korea, Iran, and Kuwait. While the champions of the tournament will receive a single ticket to the Tokyo Games, the second-placed team will have to compete in the play-offs next April. It is the second time in a row that Qatar is hosting the Asian Men's Handball Qualification Tournament for the Olympic Games. (QNA)
