Asian Olympics strides hailed

Manama, Mar.1 (BNA):His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletic Association commended the standing of the Asian Olympics, qualified staff who are among the international decision-makers. HH Shaikh Khalid made the remarks came during his meeting at Al Wadi Palace with an Asian Olympic delegation, among whom senior officials from many countries. He welcomed the delegation on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to attend the special event organised by Bahrain Athletics Association to celebrate Bahraini athlete Salwa Eid Nasser who triumphed in the women's 400m race in the Diamond League. He paid tribute to the high-level of the Asian Olympics thanks to the enormous efforts being exerted by the athletics associations and federations in the continent towards developing this important sport. He stressed the importance of collaboration among the athletics bodies in the Asian continent to ensure further progress. He expressed the keenness of Bahrain Athletics Association to bolster its ties with its counterparts across the continent.
