Asian Para Games: Malaysia Looking To Finish With A Bang

From Karina Imran INCHEON (South Korea), Oct 24 (Bernama) -- With one more day to go before the curtains come down on the Incheon Asian Para Games, Malaysia still look good for more gold medals. According to Ramley Ibrahim, the team manager of the cycling contingent, Malaysia could expect gold medals in the Men and Women's B category 96km road race. After six days of competition, Malaysia have collected 14 gold, 20 silver and 26 and are in seventh position in the medal standings. The achievement is something all Malaysians can be proud of because the contingent was given a nine-gold target for this Games. China top the medal standings followed by South Korea and Japan. The national contingent picked up three more gold medals today - two in badminton and one in lawn bowls. Lawn bowls coach, Bah Chu Mei said the squad had met the target set by the National Sports Council. --BERNAMA
