Aspire Academy, QFF Sign Agreement

Doha, May 29 (QNA) - The Aspire Academy on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement with the Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF) aimed at spreading interest in the game in Qatar over the upbringing of a new generation of global players who will be able to compete on all the GCC, Arab and Asian competitions ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The agreement was signed by Ivan Bravo, Director General of the Aspire Academy, and Saleh al Hamidi, QFF President. Under the agreement, the Aspire Academy will prepare and develop players at both academic and technical levels within the National Fencing Program which is divided into three stages: Exploring Qatari talents, sponsoring them and supporting players during the competitions to achieve global levels. For its part, QFF will be responsible for organizing players' participation in all local, regional and global events. Aspire Academy was founded in 2004 with the goal to find and develop the best young male Qatari athletes, whilst also providing them with high quality secondary school education. (QNA)
