Azerbaijan’s Mehdiyev takes gold at Dusseldorf Grand Slam 2019

Baku, February 25, AZERTAC Azerbaijani judoka Mammadali Mehdiyev has claimed a gold medal at Dusseldorf Grand Slam 2019 in Germany after beating Japanese Sanshiro Murao in the final. Mehdiyev sealed the medal in the 90kg weight class. Another Azerbaijani fighter Rustam Orujov (73kg) won bronze of the tournament. The tournament brought together more than 600 fighters from 93 countries.
