Azerbaijan Chess Federation sign agreements with partner companies of World Cup 2015

Baku, September 5, AZERTAC Azerbaijan Chess Federation has signed an agreement with the partner companies of the World Chess Cup 2015. Prior to the signing ceremony, vice-president of the federation, director of the Organizing Committee of the Baku Chess Olympiad and the World Cup Mahir Mammadov informed the attendees about the preparations for the event, and spoke of the care and attention to the development of chess in Azerbaijan. He also highlighted successes of Azerbaijani chess players in international tournaments. Mr. Mammadov noted that the World Cup would bring together 128 chess players from 45 countries. Then, Mahir Mammadov signed the agreement with the partner companies. After the signing ceremony, vice presidents of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation Mahir Mammadov and Faig Hasanov responded to questions of journalists. According to them, the Azerbaijani squad will include Teymur Rajabov, Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Gadir Huseynov, Eltaj Safarli and Vasif Durarbayli. The tournament will be also attended by 4 Armenian chess players.
