Azerbaijani athletes to compete in 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games

Baku, August 5 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani athletes will vie for medals in the second Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China from August 16-28. Azerbaijan`s squad includes 19 athletes who will contest medals in 7 events. The 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games is the second Summer Youth Olympic Games, an international sports, education and cultural festival for teenagers. The slogan of the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games is “Share the Games, Share our Dreams”. Azerbaijan won eight medals, including three golds at the 1st Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore and finished 11th among 204 countries.
