Azerbaijani athletes make successful start to 3rd World Nomad Games

Issyk-Kul, September 5, AZERTAC Azerbaijani athletes have claimed eight medals on the opening day of the World Nomad Games in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan. Gozal Zotova took silver in the women’s belt wrestling event, while Elmaddin Ramazonov grabbed bronze in the men’s discipline. Arm-wrestler Rashad Israfilov secured silver and bronze in the men’s 105kg weight category, and Rustam Gurbanov scooped silver and bronze medals in the same weight class. Other Azerbaijani arm-wrestlers Elsavar Khasiyev and Zohrab Nasimov bagged bronzes in the men’s 95kg division.
