Azerbaijani female wrestlers claim two golds at Golden Grand Prix Final

Baku, July 25 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani female wrestlers have won two gold medals at the Golden Grand Prix Final international wrestling tournament commemorating national leader Heydar Aliyev in Baku. The medals came from Maria Stadnik and Yuliya Ratkevich in the 48kg and 60kg classes respectively. Stadnik defeated Russian Elena Vostrikova 6-0, while Ratkevich beat Japanese Katsuki Sakagami 9-5 in the gold medal bouts. The competition continues Sunday, July 27, in all categories of the Greco-Roman wrestling. Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers grabbed 13 medals on the first day of the tournament. The tournament brings together nearly 400 wrestlers from 35 countries.
