Azerbaijani wrestler claims silver at Makhachkala tournament

Baku, May 26 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Olympic and World champion Sharif Sharifov (97kg) has snatched a silver medal at the 45th international tournament in memory of Ali Aliyev in Makhachkala. On the way to final, Sharifov defeated Hungarian Attila Szmik, Ukrainian Pavel Oleynik and Russian Marat Ibrahimov. Azerbaijan`s squad included 14 wrestlers. The tournament is one of the oldest ones in FILA's calendar.
