Baku to host 77th AIPS Congress

Baku, April 23 (AzerTAc). The 77th World Congress of the International Sport Press Association (AIPS) will be held in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku from April 27-May 1. The decision to hold the congress in Baku was made at the 76th AIPS Congress in Innsbruck, Austria, in 2012. The Baku Congress will coincide with the Association`s 90th anniversary. According to the special Organizing Committee arranged in Baku, 265 people from 112 countries have registered for the congress so far. AIPS was founded in 1924 during the Olympic Games in Paris. Starting with eight founding members, the number of AIPS member associations has gradually increased to today`s 144.
