Bapco announced title sponsor for Six Hours of Bahrain

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) proudly announced today that its official partner, Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), has signed as title sponsor for the upcoming FIA WEC Six Hours of Bahrain. The Bapco Six Hours of Bahrain is scheduled to take place November 20 and 21 at "The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East" in Sakhir as the eighth and final round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Bapco is backing Bahrain’s second-biggest international motor racing event of the year, and the only one of its kind in the entire region. In view of this, BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa was joined by Bapco at a signing ceremony to formalise the sponsorship. Shaikh Salman commented: "We thank Bapco for signing as title sponsors of this year’s FIA WEC Six Hours of Bahrain. "As one of our existing official Circuit partners, Bapco has always been a great supporter of our events here at the BIC," Shaikh Salman continued. "The Six Hours of Bahrain event is a magnificent race to be associated with. As the leading endurance championship in global motorsport, it reaches hundreds of millions around the world. "We are certain that Bapco’s support will deliver great benefits," he added. Bapco’s General Manager-Marketing Mr. Khalid Buhazza said: "Bapco is indeed proud to be a continued supporter of key events and activities of the BIC. "Our sponsorship of the Six Hours of Bahrain in 2015 falls in line with our commitment towards fostering the kingdom’s sporting sector, and as part of our national and regional reputation as a forerunner on the energy scene.
