Beijing To Host 2022 Winter Olympic Games

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 (Bernama) -- The Chinese capital city, Beijing, was selected by the International Olympics Committee (IOC) to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. The announcement was made by IOC president Thomas Bach, here Friday. Beijing was chosen over the other candidate City, Almaty of Kazakhstan after the voting session during the 128th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre was concluded, Friday. With Friday's success, Beijing would become the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics. --BERNAMA
