BIC new strategy hailed

Manama, Nov. 25 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) Strategic Planning Office director Hasan Abdullatif commended the move made by the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in adopting its own strategy to create a set of initiatives, projects and programmes designed to develop its sports outcome. Abdullatif said he was pleased for the initiative set up by the Middle East’s home of motorsport, and noted the significance of strategic planning in specifying the right direction, goals and ways to achieve them. He urged other sports organisations and federations in Bahrain to follow in the footsteps of the BIC. "It’s very important to developing a strategy of our own, which leads to determining the time and cost for each process, setting priorities, and measuring the achievement of goals and making the best decisions," said Abdullatif. Among other main targets of the BOC strategy is to achieve balance between sources and requirements, boosting efficiency and effectiveness, and to ensure the control and continued follow up. The Bahrain Olympic Committee's strategy is derived from the 2030 Kingdom of Bahrain Vision and the strategy of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and the Olympic Charter.
