BOC attends joint GCC sport action march meeting

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Strategic Planning Office Director Hasan Abdullatif attended the second meeting of the joint GCC action march in the field of sports held at the General Secretariat in Riyadhrecently. This project is in compliance with the proposal submitted by the Kuwait Olympic Committee to the Executive Office of Their Highnesses and Excellencies Presidents of the GCC National Olympic Committees to establish a strategy to develop join action in the field of sports. A specialized committee was formed to prepare a strategy to activate joint sports action in the GCC, featuring a clear vision, mission and strategic goals, specific period work plan key performance indicators. Headed by Dr Adel bin Khalifa Al Zayani, President of the Human Affairs and Environment at Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the committee includes a representative of each GCC National Olympic Committee. This panel is presently preparing a draft of the strategy which aims to promote joint GCC action march in the field of sports.
