BPS members bag gold medallions

Doha, Feb. 1 (BNA): Bahrain Photography Society (BPS) won golden medals awarded to the top ten participating photography clubs in the 15th edition of Saud Al Thani International Photography Awards Contest2015 in the Qatari capital, Doha. "Our Classroom" a snapshot taken by Society member Fadhil Al Mutagawi, on the general theme of single shot of Arab and Middle Eastern photographers portraying several children in their timber classroom in a remote Himalaya mountain school in Uttar Pradesh, India. Their mistress carried one of the kids. Fadhil Mutagawi wins Al Thani's golden award for the second year consecutively. Bahrain's Photography Society member Hussain Ashoor's "YAK" snapshot won second prize of $1500 in the main theme of places you have visited and places you would like to visit, in addition to his winning the International Photography Federation (FIAP)'s golden award for his picture showing a bull grazing in a meadow in the Indian side of Kashmir.
