Company's Futsal League sponsorship praised

Manama, July 16 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of the Bahrain Athletics Association, has praised the sponsorship of Bahrain National Gas Company (Banagas) for the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League. The sponsorship demonstrates the role of the private sector in ensuring the success of the sports events, HH Shaikh Khalid said. “The company's continuous cooperation with the league’s High Organising Committee confirms the joint action that will contribute to the success of the great youth event,” HH Shaikh Khalid added. He commended the ongoing partnership with Banagas, whose sponsorship is a clear indication of the keenness of the company’s officials to greatly contribute to the league.  HH Shaikh Khalid asserted, "the sponsorship will enrich the league in various aspects. It additionally reflects the role of national institutions and companies in interacting with the league and activating initiatives to support the youth and sports sector in Bahrain.” Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Banagas, said, “What distinguishes the league is the great role played by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in supporting Bahraini youth through targeted national initiatives and constant development of the league. HH provides youth and sports initiatives that have contributed to the development of sports in the Kingdom, reaching the highest levels.” He affirmed that Banagas is keen to strengthen the sports and youth sector, through its policy. The sponsorship of the league reflects the company’s objectives to continue supporting the youth and sports sector. Al Musawi: League carries lofty goals Meanwhile, columnist, Hadi Al-Musawi, said that the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League has reached an advanced stage and adopted humanitarian dimensions by strengthening relations among citizens in friendly matches between 83 teams, a very large number rarely found in most competitions in the region, not only in Bahrain. This came during his visit as a guest of honour to the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League’s matches on Sunday. Al Musawi added, "More beautiful than competition for the title is the meeting of the Kingdom’s youth in a sports event carrying lofty goals. Thanks to the vision of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the league in its 6th edition includes teams of different communities to participate in the competition supervised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, in a directive aimed at increasing bonds among all residents of the Kingdom.” Barbar Club progress to second stage  Barbar Club progressed to the second stage of the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League after their precious 2-1 win over Al Aker Club. They reached their fifth point after two draws and a win combined with a heavy loss at the hands of Al Dair. Al Aker Club have the same number of points with Barbar Club, but the latter were sent through thanks to their head-head record.
